Main Description

The "First in Class" Hylas H48 design has been the choice of voyagers in mid-size yachts for decades and for very good reasons. Bill Dixon's lifestyle enhancements will keep this yacht relevant for aspiring voyagers in years to come. Extending the enclosed center cockpit to accommodate crew numbers and cockpit relaxation. Staying with the classic cutter rig will bring peace of mind as weather deteriorates. The self-tacking staysail makes very light work in heavy going. All lines run back to the cockpit so there's no need for crew to be on deck. A more plumb bow and a beam that carries aft not only enhances performance underway but brings the interior space to life.

Living aboard is a delight with the raised salon skylights allowing plenty of natural light and the oversized portlights mean you're never disconnected from the world you want to explore. The walk-through galley offers storage, ease of use and safety underway. In the master stateroom every cubic inch has been utilized to provide a comfortable living space more often found on much larger yachts. The aft area being the most comfortable under way. A very important consideration for the long passages and sleeping comfort.

The ensuite master bathroom is set up as a walk through to the nav station and main salon with an incorporated washer/dryer space.

In the forward part of the yacht guest quarters are generous. A V-berth at the bow with an additional over/under crew cabin on the port side.

When combined with the Hylas build quality, there are few yachts of this size that will carry you with such confidence and comfort to anywhere in the world.
