This Cabo 45 Express is a serious sport fishing machine that also blends comfortable accommodation. For optimal efficiency, a Cabo 45 Express with two MAN V10-1100 CRM marine engines, each rated at 1,100 horsepower, operates best at 18-22 knots (1,400-1,600 RPM), consuming 25-35 gallons per hour (gph). This yields 0.7-0.9 nautical miles per gallon, providing a practical range of 500-600 nautical miles with its 800-gallon fuel capacity, depending on load and conditions. At 80% load, fuel consumption rises to 86 gph, allowing about 9.3 hours of operation and a range of roughly 280 nautical miles at 30 knots. At full load, each engine consumes 52.3 gph, resulting in a combined 104.6 gph, with a maximum operating time of 7.6 hours and a range of approximately 262 miles at about 30 knots.
The expansive 100 sq ft cockpit is a fisherman's dream, featuring a bait prep center, 48-gallon transom livewell, fighting chair, and large insulated & macerated fish boxes. One even has a chill plate! The helm deck, enclosed with full isinglass, offers a Stidd captains & mate chairs, L-shapped settee for guests, Furuno electronics including radar and GPS 30,000 BTU A/C that feeds the cabin as well as the helm area for comfort while under way or at anchor.
Below deck, there is a full galley to starboard with a teak and holly cabin sole featuring a drawer fridge, 4.5cu. ft freezer, recessed two burner range with cover, microwave/convection oven and ample storage. The vessel sleeps four, with a queen v-berth in the forward stateroom, a guest bunk cabin to port.. Forward of the galley is a full head to with shower head and vanity and 6’8” headroom throughout.
Some of the long list of recent updates include a new bottom job (2024), refurbished navigation systems (2024), all services always completed on engines as per the MAN recommendations and over $13,000 in spare parts included. LALALAND is ready for a serious offshore fishing program and/or leisurely cruises with family and friends. Contact me today for more information, many more photos or to schedule a showing.
