Caelestis is a privately owned, owner’s version Lagoon 440 that has never been chartered. The current owner purchased her in 2008 in Florida where she was very lightly sailed. Since then, she has remained in the southern Caribbean and sailed approximately 500 nautical miles per season between Grenada and Dominica. She is hauled and stored on the hard every season, with the exception of the upcoming summer (2025), during which she will remain in the water to facilitate her sale.
The Lagoon 440 is one of the most popular cruising catamarans ever produced, and for good reason. Known for its durability, spaciousness, and smart design, the 440 offers features that are now standards in the catamaran world. Her distinctive flybridge helm station—a revolutionary concept when first introduced—offers excellent visibility and control, while freeing up the cockpit for relaxation and entertaining. Wide side decks, secure handholds, and forward lounging areas make her safe and enjoyable for passage-making and living aboard.
Caelestis is the sought-after owner’s version of the Lagoon 440, offering a luxurious master suite that occupies the entire starboard hull, complete with a large head, walk-in shower, office/workspace, and generous storage. The port hull contains two guest cabins with en-suite heads, allowing for comfortable accommodations for up to 6–7 people without compromising privacy. The salon is bright and airy, with wraparound windows, ample seating, a convertible table, and excellent ventilation. The galley is up and integrated into the living space, ideal for entertaining and practical for cruising.
Over the years, Caelestis has been carefully maintained and selectively upgraded to support safe and comfortable cruising.
