Main Description

This Hanse 348 is in excellent condition. She is on her second ownership and has spent the past year exploring the Caribbean. Her owner has recently added four 100W solar panels, the 29hp Yanmar was just serviced with just over 300 hours, and she comes with a newer dinghy in excellent condition and a gennaker for downwind runs.

Two cabins with convertible berth in saloon,  well equipped galley and all lines lead to the helm with a self tacking jib makes for easy single or short handed sailing and a great fit for a couple or a small crew.

BAREFOOT BUOY splashes in November in Grenada and will make her way up the Caribbean island chain to the BVI. Her owner made everlasting memories on board and is ready to pass her along to the next adventurous skipper to continue the journey.

* Photos without solar panels were taken last year. Vessel with solar panels over bimini are current. Vessel remains in excellent condition. We will have a new photo set when the vessel arrives in the BVI on December if it does not sell sooner!

Accommodations

Accommodation

Step aboard BAREFOOT BUOY through the fold-down transom door, which opens to form a swim platform and makes for convenient boarding, be it from a dock or tender. It also serves as a great swim platform and an extension of the cockpit at anchor.

One step up is the open cockpit with teak decking and seating, with twin helm wheels on either side and a clear walkway between them. All lines lead aft to the helms, tucked under cover and out of the way. Together with the self-tacking jib, in-mast furling mainsail and single-line reefing system, this makes her easy to sail single-handed or with a short crew.

Centered between the helms is a beautiful teak folding cockpit table, with a B&G multifunction display and a magnetic compass mounted centerline on the table pedestal. Each helm also has its own multifunction display, giving direction, wind, speed and depth information from either position, with the autopilot control on the starboard side and additional controls accessible from the B&G chartplotter. The cockpit seating is comfortable and roomy for her size, with plenty of space for the crew to lounge underway or gather for sundowners and a meal at anchor.

Head below through the companionway and you step into the saloon. The L-shaped galley is to starboard at the foot of the steps and includes a stove and oven, a double stainless sink and a large front and top-opening fridge, with ample storage for galley essentials. In the saloon, there is a bench to port with the nav station at its aft end and a settee to starboard with a centerline double folding leaf table. The saloon table converts into a generous berth, which accommodates extra guests at anchor or provides an additional bunk on long passages.

Forward, the forepeak cabin has a double berth and plenty of storage, and the starboard aft cabin is also generous for a boat this size. Across from the aft cabin, the head is large and well ventilated, with a separate shower. Aft of the shower on the port side is a large storage locker, which is also accessible from the cockpit. Excellent engine access for routine checks and servicing.

Owner's Comments and Boat History

*Current owner purchased the vessel in the summer of 2025. It was previously in like-new condition with about 80 hours on the engine and was very lightly used. Since then, the current owner has had a great adventure sailing up and down the Caribbean chain.

I purchased the yacht in Tortola from the original owner in June of 2025 with just over 90 hours on the engine and very little sailing time on her the choice was easy, the upcoming season held.

As a solo sailor, I chose the Hanse 348 for ease of single handed sailing with an excellent compliment of technology for confident navigation. During the 104 nights aboard, the claims of simplicity for such sailing prevailed, she’s stable, capable and is well equipped for comfortable cruising.

She cruised the 2025-26 season from December to March throughout the Eastern Caribbean visiting 30 islands and 14 countries from the British Virgin Islands' to Grenada, where she is presently secured until the relaunch date of November 23rd.

An absolute dream trip with the perfect boat, easy to maneuver, sails well and is very comfortable.

The yacht has always been privately owned and sailed, primarily single-handed, with no charter use or party use.

An absolute dream trip with the perfect boat, easy to maneuver, sails well and is very comfortable solo and with stow aways.
