Main Description

White Pearl is a 2005 Hampton 558 pilothouse motor yacht currently lying in Grenada. Built with the quality and seaworthiness that Hampton yachts are known for, she has been consistently maintained and upgraded, making her an ideal choice for comfortable Caribbean cruising.

Her accommodations are well suited for extended stays aboard. The master cabin features a walkaround berth with en suite head, complemented by a guest cabin with a similar berth and head that doubles as a day head. Additional sleeping options are available with a pull-out bed in both the pilothouse and salon. Storage is generous throughout, with ample space beneath berths as well as in closets and cupboards.

The interior is designed for both practicality and comfort. The galley is equipped with an electric stove and oven, apartment-sized frost-free refrigerator, microwave, wine fridge, ice maker, and a full set of cookware and utensils. Laundry is handled by a Bosch washer and apartment-style dryer. A water maker, central vacuum, air chillers, and heated hot water system ensure self-sufficiency and convenience while at anchor.

The fully enclosed flybridge provides a commanding view and excellent protection, with dual helm chairs, comfortable seating around a table, and a hydraulic davit for the dinghy. The upper and aft decks offer space for entertaining, shaded relaxation, and direct access to the water via a swim platform with retractable ladder.

White Pearl is well outfitted with modern navigation and communication systems including Garmin and Raymarine multifunction displays, radar, autopilot, AIS, VHF radios, and Starlink internet. Safety equipment includes EPIRB, life raft, inflatable life jackets, flares, and fire suppression systems recently serviced in 2025.

Her electrical systems are robust, featuring a Kohler generator, solar array with lithium house bank, A/Sea isoboost transformer, inverter, and advanced Victron monitoring. Bow and stern thrusters make close-quarters maneuvering easy, while Wesmar stabilizers provide a smooth ride underway. Mechanical systems have been consistently serviced, with recent work including new turbos, shaft seals, and upgrades to hydraulic components.

Tankage is generous with 800 gallons of fuel, 230 gallons of water, and an 80-gallon holding tank, allowing for extended independence. At a cruising speed of 8.3 knots, she burns only about 6 gallons per hour, making her efficient for her size.

White Pearl has cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean and is easily handled by two people. She has been well cared for by her owners, who stored her ashore in Grenada during hurricane seasons and carried out continual upgrades, including the addition of solar panels, lithium batteries, and a modern charging system. A survey completed in July 2025 found her in strong condition, with only routine servicing items noted.

Owners Comments and Boat History

White Pearl 1 has travelled from Florida to as far south as Trinidad. It is a very comfortable boat and is easily handled by two people, both seniors. The twin engines and bow and stern thrusters make maneuvering in and out of tight spots less challenging. The stabilizers smooth out the ride. At a cruising speed of 8.3 knots the engines burn about 6USG/hr which is quite reasonable.

The boat was manufactured in China in 2005/2006. There have been 4 previous owners plus the current owner. One person owned the boat for only 2 months. Throughout its life the boat has been well looked after and maintained. There have never been any significant damages recorded.

For the last 5 years the boat has been based in the Caribbean and stored on the hard in Grenada for the hurricane season. During that time the boat has had ongoing maintenance and upgrades to ensure that all necessary systems function well and reliably.

A major upgrade was the addition of solar panels (1280watts), MPPT charge controllers, Victron monitoring system, Lithium batteries (600Ah), 50 amp DC-DC chargers and Balmar external regulators. This has allowed for excellent charging at anchor or underway. The galley is fully equipped and allows for preparing any kind of a meal and entertaining 10 or more people. The water maker produces excellent drinking water. The water tanks are sanitized and that allows for water to be consumed directly from the tanks, eliminating the need for buying water jugs or bottles. There is also an inline carbon filter for the drinking water. The stabilizers have been fully serviced with new shaft seals and have new hydraulic cylinders that have already been purchased. A new turbo on the port engine to complement the turbo that was replaced three years ago. A recent survey for insurance purposes was completed in July, 2025. The boat is for sale due to changes in owner circumstances.
